Thank You!
We want to thank all of the volunteers who helped with Saturday's workday. The weather held and we put in a full day of work. Stay tuned to this site for pictures.
Our next workday is scheduled for March 21. In addition, we are also looking for groups or individuals to volunteer during the week. If you are interested, please send an e-mail to jack@jackcarneylaw.com or call 969-8181.

The Weather
Many of you may be wondering whether we are still going to hold our Habitat workday tomorrow (February 28). As of right now, we are still planning on working. If we hear of a cancellation, we will post a notice on this site and will try to contact as many volunteers as possible.
We do have an alternative project for those who want to avoid the cold and wet weather. The Habitat outlet store is in need of volunteers starting at 9:00 am. You can find directions to the store at
http://www.habitatbirmingham.org/restore/index.php.
Please let us know if you plan to work at the store by sending an e-mail to jack@jackcarneylaw.com.

Donations
Fundraising is an important part of our parish's annual Habitat project. Our church has made a financial commitment to Habitat for a portion of the cost to build the home. Whether or not you are able to donate volunteer hours, please consider making a donation to the Habitat build.
Any donation can be made a significant part of your family's Lenten sacrifice. For example, instead of going to the movies or eating out one night, you may want to take the money you would have used for that activity and donate it towards the house. Your family would then be able to see the tangible fruits of their sacrifice when we give the home to the new owners on Good Friday. This can be a powerful use of your charitable dollars.
You can make your donation by placing it in the famous "pink house" or by putting it in the collection basket in an envelope marked "Habitat."
